The Black Clover manga is supposed to enter a huge battle arc against the Dark Triad. The Gate to the Underworld is about to open soon, and our heroes need to be ready to face the devils’ powers.
While all the attention is on Asta, we were on the verge of forgetting about Yuno. However, once again, Yuno has proved his worth and reminded us just how powerful and ambitious he is. His latest speech in chapter 264 has reminded us of him being the co-protagonist of the manga.
He says and I quote:
I guess I am a prince of Spade kingdom…They made me flee to the Clover kingdom when there was treason against the royals…
The person that came to me is former Spade kingdom’s valet …
He probably knows well about the info of the enemies or the inner part of the castle……it’s meaningless if I won’t be the one to save him …
It’s not only me…! After the elf incident, you guys have a distrust against Captain Vengeance too…!!…but that is inevitable, I guess…
Captain Vangeance didn’t choose either human or elf…and because of it, he’s fighting seriously as the magic knight even if he’s being tormented…!…after I have lost against him…there’s this one thing that I remember while slowly getting unconscious…

Yuno
The fact that Yuno is the Prince of the Spade kingdom had already been revealed to us, but it was kept a secret from the others. In chapter 264, Yuno owned up to his lineage. This further proves that Yuno has accepted his past and is now ready to work on his future.
Let’s not forget about the cute but hilarious reaction of Asta when he was hit in the face by the truth.
Yuno has already started taking the necessary steps to help the magic knights in the war. He is sheltering a valet of the Spade kingdom. This valet can be a crucial pawn in the battle because of the information that the person has to offer.
Yuno knows that the other captains don’t trust William Vangeance. Yet, Yuno supports his captain and respects the struggle that he is going through. William was captured because he was trying to save the other members of his squad.
Yuno knows this and wants to rescue William. His devotion to his captain is similar to Asta’s dedication towards Yami.
As Yuno was taking an oath to save William, all the other captains in the room sensed a change in the mana around them. Sylph, the wind spirit, was gathering the mana around Yuno.
Yuno comes from a royal heritage and has a wind spirit. His powers have been proven time and again in the past. This show of strength reminded us that Yuno, too, is a significant character in Black Clover and a co-protagonist.
