Black Clover Teases Its Own All Might from My Hero Academia

Major hidden powers of Black Clover characters are being revealed in each chapter. In the latest chapter update (252) of Black Clover, we find out about the power of Lolopechka, which seems to remind us of another renowned anime.

When the battle against Vanika is raging, Vanika lets slip some information about the Dark Triad. Lolopechka is quick to assess this as an essential detail. At this point, the author tells us that the princess of the Heart kingdom inherits the knowledge of all the previous princesses.

Lolopechka thus quickly recollects the memories of the past princesses, and the plan of the Dark Triad dawns on her. She now knows about the Tree of Qliphoth, which can serve as a major advantage in the power struggle.

So who does this power of inheritance remind us of? Who else other than All Might from My Hero Academia? The quirk of All Might is also passed down by the ones who acquire it. This seems like a cross-reference to the famous manga by Kohei Horikoshi.

In fact, Yuki Tabata and Kohei Horikoshi are fast friends. They have also swapped their manga cover art styles, further proving how close they are. This swap in cover pages was a magnificent display of the art styles of both of them.

Even the usage of some words in the manga are similar. The princesses of the Heart kingdom are called “All-knowing,” while the quirk in My Hero Academia is called “One for All.”

Maybe the Dark Triad is the portrayal of All for One as they exploit and steal others’ strength for their own benefit.

Is this the result of being influenced by Tabata’s friend Horikoshi? Or is this a major turning point in the story? Only the next chapter is capable of answering our questions.
