Yūki Tabata’s Black Clover manga is the talk of the town these days, even though it was off to a shaky start during its initial chapters.
However, what people thought to be run-of-the-mill shonen manga centered around magic made our jaws drop as soon as the storyline solidified.
Another thing that differentiates the franchise from its counterparts is its blockbuster anime and its synchronization with the manga.
Black Clover anime has a spectacular collection of Opening and Ending Theme songs (my favorite? Black Catcher by Vickeblanka!). Not only does the Openings offer a variety of music, but it also gives a variety of insights into the new information on the upcoming episodes.
1. How do Opening Themes give new information?
Black Clover anime offers little to no filler episodes at all. If you guys don’t know this already, Tabata personally works with the director of each episode to ensure that anime ‘adds to the storyline;’ hence the events are kept canon.
That way, the anime offers a lot of content that is canon but is not available in the manga. With such a peculiar tactic, there is no way to know what’s coming except for one — breaking down the trailer.
Don’t believe me? Think about the latest few episodes of the anime — The Magic Knights Captains meeting, Mereoleona, and Fuegoleon’s training. If you think these two events were fillers, you don’t know your anime.
2. Black Clover Opening Theme 11 Breakdown
Black Clover released its 11th Opening Theme recently, and it gave out a lot of information for the upcoming episodes.

I have listed out a few things (SPOILERS) that are bound to happen based on the OP, let’s see how much did you notice?
I. Magic Knights Training
One thing that got cleared in the recent episodes is the Magic Knights’ training, especially the ones that went to the Heart Kingdom.
Black Clover manga broke our hearts when it added a simple ‘time skip to 6-months later.’ It looks like the anime will be taking a different route altogether.
The opening theme begins with enormous amounts of devil magic pouring out of a lake, out of which emerges our little devil — Asta.
II. Asta & Noelle’s New Powers
The opening theme also shows Asta and Noelle doing combat training against each other. Both Noelle and Asta have adapted and stabilized their new powerups, the Valkyrie armor, and Devil form, respectively.
Even though I won’t spoil much, let me tell you that you guys are in for a rough ride and a HUGE sword.
III. Shifted Focus
Until now, the arcs focused entirely on the Black Bulls Magic Knight squad, but it looks the tides are about to change. The upcoming arcs will also focus on rising talents such as Mimosa and Leopold Vermillion.
We all know Leopold will go to the Heart Kingdom and train with the Fire Spirit Guardian, Floga, and learn the ‘True Fire Magic.’ It is likely that he will be shoulder-to-shoulder with his elder siblings by the end of this arc, if not stronger.
IV. Zenon’s Introduction
The theme shows a mage with malicious mana, a spade kingdom robe, and skeleton fingers. He is none other than the third ruler of Spade Kingdom and the member of Dark Triad — Zenon of the Bone Magic.
This sub-arc will likely end with his assault on the Golden Dawn headquarters before the opening theme changes.
3. About Black Clover
Black Clover is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yūki Tabata. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine since February 16, 2015.
The story centers around Asta, a young boy seemingly born without any magic power, something that is unknown in the world he lives in. With his fellow mages from the Black Bulls, Asta plans to become the next Wizard King.Originally Written By Epic Dope
