Asta claims that Liebe was just fighting out of anger, and sorrow and was never trying to kill Asta in the first place; had he fought seriously, Asta would be at the losing end. (As if lol XD)
Asta asks Liebe to join him for defeating Dante and the Dark Triad – the latter realizes Asta is Lichita’s son and befriends him! The next chapter is going to be AWESOME!!!
Chapter 270 Predictions
In the next chapter, we will see whether Asta will seal a deal with the devil or not!
For those of you who don’t understand the significance of this chapter, let me put this in simpler words. Asta has grown a lot stronger, notable feats being the gigantification of the Demon Slayer sword, the ability to fly using anti-mana, and the defeat of Dante the King of Spade Kingdom.
Therefore, when Nacht said he would make Asta stronger, our imagination reached its height and there was nowhere else to go until now!
In this chapter, Nacht said that Asta has only been using the devil’s power which gets leaked out – this meant if he accesses the true power (,i.e., the contract), he will be unstoppable. In any case, this chapter could go one of the two ways:
I. Asta conquers the devil!
Haha! I agree that the headline is a little ambiguous, so let me clear that up for you. No! There is no chance in God’s green Earth that Asta will be able to physically conquer AMD in strength without the former’s swords.
But, Asta has one more ability – the shonen protagonist talk power. Yep, he talks too much and makes his enemies his friends; moreover, the ‘enemy’ we are talking about here is Asta’s brother, to begin with.
It is likely that the truth that was just revealed to us will soon come out in front of Asta and he will make up with Liebe. Together, the brotherly duo will avenge their mother by defeating Dante x Lucifero’s evil reign.
II. The Ultimate Magic!
I know I know! It has nothing to do with Asta’s battle with the devil but you have to admit, you cannot not talk about the Ultimate magic.
Even though the Noelle-squad survived Vanica’s devastating spell, we know they are not nearly strong enough to go head-to-head with the menacing devil, let alone beat her, especially considering the strength Yami and Asta had to unleash to defeat Dante.
However, if the leader of elves says he can, I believe him! As to what this special and known-to-a-few magic spell, Ultimate magic, is – I have a considerable theory.
We know how much elves are loved by mana, and the power brought upon by natural mana has been shown on many occasions around Gaja, Lolopechka, and even Licht himself.
Therefore, just like Mana Skin had an upgrade (Mana Zone), Ultimate magic will likely be a much-advanced form of using natural mana and creating arrays.

The chapter starts with AMD getting angrier every passing second while Asta realizes his pain and sorrow by reading the ki. AMD presses on with his attacks against Asta using Licht’s three swords as he succumbs to his rage.
Asta, who claims his power is never giving up, grabs Yami’s katana and begins to attack AMD. The latter is definitely the stronger one between the two, but as Nacht notes, his powers are not of much use.
While anti-magic is formidable against people with mana, it is pretty useless against someone who has no mana (Asta). By the end of the chapter Asta proves that he may not have mana but he has fought with the strongest magic-swordsmen in the Black Clover-verse and is one of the finest himself.
He finally punches AMD by using the skills and experiences he gained from Mars, Licht, Fanzell, Yami, and Kiato.
