Black Clover Chapter 253 Spoilers: Did Vanica get defeated /sealed for good?

In the last chapter of Black Clover (chapter 252), Vanica was surrounded by the water magic of Lolopechka. It halved Vanica’s blood magic. Noelle’s Valkyrie dress transforms into a Mermaid armor, which improves her mobility in the water.

[Spoiler] In chapter 253, we see the result of Noelle’s attack on Vanica. Even though Noelle hits Vanica with as much power as she can muster, Vanica seems to have taken the hit with less damage than expected.

Vanica soon starts channelling Megicula with more intensity. She is already at 50% when the chapter starts and soon channels the devil’s power exceedingly.

The magic water cage, which was supposed to suppress Vanica’s blood magic, doesn’t do much good. As the chapter progresses, Vanica even starts resembling a devil.

A flashback is inserted at this point of the chapter where we are shown how Lolopechka is afraid of dying and cries her heart out to Noelle and Mimosa. This flashback seems like a foreboding of something bad happening to one of them.

Did Vanica get sealed?

The original plan of Lolopechka is revealed where she wants to intentionally draw out the full power of Vanica and Megicula and use it against them. The Arcane mage, Secre Swallowtail aka Nero, appears to be the hidden ace of Lolopechka.

With her sealing magic, she is supposed to catch Vanica when she has expended all her powers and defeat or seal her.

But the question still remains whether it is possible to defeat Vanica when she is already using 70% of the devil’s power. Is Secre’s magic enough to contain her?

This also raises questions about where she was during the previous fight. With the powers of all four of them combined, they might barely pass the mark.

The flashback still remains a mystery. If Vanica is defeated, then all her other pawns will get weaker as well. This is a rare chance for Lolopechka and the others to defeat Vanica and save the Heart kingdom.
