The official Twitter account of Weekly Shonen Jump has revealed the 12th opening theme song for the Black Clover anime.

The new theme song is named Everlasting Shine, and it is performed by the K-Pop boy band, Tomorrow × Together, or TXT in short.

The new trailer opens with scenes of Asta training himself and then goes on to introduce the other characters in a very gentle and subtle way.

The song itself is soulful and has hearty vocals instead of a jam which suits action-packed anime.

In comparison to some of the most loved Black Clover openings, the 12th theme channels a different vibe. Fans hope that with this new opening comes a new arc, which is likely to be the Training Arc.

K-pop fans can recognize the name TXT in a blink because of the rising popularity of the newly debuted group.

If you only know BTS from K-Pop, don’t worry because both of these groups are from the same company, which is Bighit. Tomorrow × Together is the second boy band from Bighit after BTS snatched the attention overseas.

It is the first time that TXT has attempted an anime theme song. They debuted in Korea with their song, Crown, and quickly rose to worldwide attention. They debuted in Japan early this year with their song, Magic Hour.

Fans had mixed reactions towards the new opening. Some have appreciated the change of style.

Others don’t know what to feel about the song because of its slow tempo:
