New Promo for BASTARD!! Season 2 Reveals July Debut with 15 Episodes

If you like the Berserk series, you’ve probably heard of Bastard!! – Heavy Metal and Dark Fantasy.

Bastard!! captures the best of ‘Berserk’ in all the right ways, notably with its dark fantasy background and its protagonist’s raw, scary power.

Mix in a little Record of Lodoss War, Slayers, and Ninja Scroll with some ’80s metal music, and you’ve got a fair sense of what to expect, but if you haven’t watched the Bastard!! series, then it’s time to get into it, as season 2 is just on the horizon.

The official website for the new anime by Kazushi Hagiwara, BASTARD!! -Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy- action manga started streaming a new teaser promotional video for season 2, titled BASTARD!! -Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy-: Hell’s Requiem. The teaser announces the season’s theme songs and July 31 premiere, confirming the sequel’s 15-episode length.

The rock band, coldrain, is returning from the first season to perform the new opening theme song, “New Dawn,” while singer Tielle is also back for the new ending theme song, “La Muse perdue.”

The new 15-episode season will be released all at once on Netflix globally, including the original cast and staff from the previous season. Though some new cast members have been added, who are:

Well, that’s all there is to it, Bastard!! is one of the strongest anime remake projects to debut yet, and if you haven’t watched it, I highly recommend it, as it is so uniquely intriguing, and since there probably won’t be another Berserk anime anytime soon, this is the closest we’ll probably get.
