Baki The Grappler is a famous manga following the journey of Baki Hanma as he learns fighting techniques and battles with the most powerful people in the world. We see the journey of Baki’s growth in this action style, manga/anime.
The official website of Baki: Dai Raitaisai-hen, revealed a new promotional video for season two of the anime. The video also revealed the broadcasting dates. Within 30 seconds, the video shows us glimpses of fight scenes and we can expect an action-packed season.
The anime will be broadcast from July 6 on TOKYO MX1, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, TV Aichi, and HTB Hokkaido Television. It will air on TVQ Broadcasting Kyushu starting Jul 9.
All 13 episodes of the season are being streamed by Netflix from June 4. Baki is getting more popular each day and is even ranked among the top 10 daily updates in Japan.
Season two of Baki includes the “Great Raitai Tournament Saga“, “The Clash of the Children of Gods,” as well as side stories from the “Revenge Tokyo”.
The plot of season two begins with Baki entering into The Great Raitai Tournament even though he is in a rough stage. As the battle rages, some familiar faces can be spotted, those whom we have already encountered in the first parts of the anime.
Of course, there are new competitors with great strength as well. The anime is full of action scenes and muscles straining almost to a ridiculous extent, but that is what has attracted its viewers so far. The plot and style of Baki remind us of Dragon Ball Z. And the biggest challenge for Baki is to defeat his father.
The anime is directed by Toshiki Hirano under TMS Entertainment. The character design is done by Fujio Suzuki and Shingo Ishikawa. Tatsuhiko Urahata was the scriptwriter.
