Bachelor in Paradise is where former Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants get another shot at love. Of course coupled with the chance to prove themselves as Instagram influencers. Here’s all you need to know about Bachelor in Paradise season seven.

1. Premiere Date & Highlights

As of now, Bachelor Nation can rest easy knowing that the show will definitely be back for a seventh season. ABC confirmed the news during their summer press tour. The official announcement of the Season 7 of the series was made on August 4, 2019.

There is no current update on this reality show’s publishing date. Ardent fans know it relies on an exotic location to film . Since there are limitations on overseas travel, shooting the series will more than likely be delayed.

The official Twitter handle of Bachelor in Paradise released a statement regarding the next chapter in Bachelor history on March 13th, 2020. However, due to the coronavirus, it only shows the first poster.

2. Series Overview

Hosted by reality TV sweetheart Chris Harrison, the show usually begins with contestants arriving at the resort island in Sayulita, Mexico. It begins with an uneven number of women and men.

At the first rose ceremony, the men are given a rose to hand out to a woman they’d like to spend more time with. The women left without roses are sent home.

New men are then brought to the beach. At the next rose ceremony, women hand out a rose to a man they’d like to spend more time with. The remaining men are sent home.

For seven weeks, this set up alternates between new men or new women joining the cast. At the end of the summer, the couple that gets engaged is the one that “wins” an all-paid wedding and becomes social media influencers soon after.

I. Season 6 recap

There was a lot that went down in season six. Contestant Blake Horstmann was the villain of the group, after it was revealed that he hooked up with practically everyone at Stagecoach (a music festival) before going on the show.

New couples formed, like Tayshia Adams and John Paul Jones, Hannah Godwin and Dylan Barbour, and Katie Morton and Chris Bukowski. Demi Burnett also invited her former girlfriend Kristian Haggerty to join the show.

It was the first time someone who wasn’t in the original cast was invited on, and the first same sex relationship on the show.

II. What’s new in season 7?

The contestants! From Peter Weber’s season on The Bachelor, fans already have predicted that women like Alayah Benavidez, Kelsey Weier, and Mykenna Dorn should make the cut. Sydney Hightower and Victoria Paul may find themselves in Paradise, too.

As for the guys, Mike Johnson from Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette might make another appearance. Jed Wyatt and Blake Horstmann show up to try their luck, too.

Other than that, you could expect some people from pretty much any previous season in the mix.

III. Trailer

No official trailer for the season seven has been released so far.

IV. Official Poster

Every season of the Bachelor, Bachelorette, and Bachelor in Paradise usually has a unique poster showcasing the beauty of the island, the serenity of its seclusion and, of course, roses. This is its signature way of announcing a brand new season.

3. Expected Plot

Being a reality tv show, Bachelor in Paradise doesn’t follow a plot thread that is predetermined.

The show creates an environment of conflict and drama for the contestants while allowing some of them to form strong connections. The connection and dynamics between the opponents change every week, which makes the series interesting and engaging.

We can’t wait for the new season to drop. Until then, binging old ones will have to do!
