Avatar: The Last Airbender Confirms A New Bending Style!

The anime Avatar: The Last Airbender is one of the best animated TV series in history. It has received great praise for touching upon issues that usually remain untouched in kids’ entertainment shows.

The entire Avatar franchise includes an ongoing comic series, a live-action film, and an animated sequel series, The Legend of Korra.

It has been nominated for awards multiple times and has also won many of them like the Primetime Emmy Award, Kids’ Choice Award and others.

The show came to Netflix on May 15 and quickly rose to the top ten rankings of the OTT platform.

The core of the series revolves around the concept of bending arts and the Avatar, who can bend all the elements.

While there are five known arts, four of those manipulate elements, and the fifth manipulates internal energy.

Throughout its run, the show has defied this principle and raised many doubts. It was particularly intriguing when Toph formed metal bending ( a new form) and when Katara learned how to manipulate blood.

Avatar: The Shadow of Kyoshi is a book that revolves around Avatar Kyoshi and her legendary pursuits. The second book of this series revealed that Avatar Kyoshi could bend glass.

Kyoshi was able to use earthbending to bend glass. The book features a line “the shards of glass in her skin plucked themselves out under the force of her earthbending” that confirms the speculation.

Glassbending doesn’t come as a shock as Earthbenders already have the power to manipulate sand.

This may be an advanced art for users. As of now, there are no other users of the glass bending art.

This new revelation about Avatar Kyoshi’s ability to bend glass has puzzled fans even more.

This has raised questions and theories about the possibilities of other forms of bending. If an earth bender can manipulate glass and Toph can manipulate metal. What’s next?
