Evangelion 3.333, the updated version of the Evangelion 3.0 anime film, faces a delay in release. The Evangelion series may seem like a mecha story with too many high contrasting colors at first.

However, the anime itself talks about grave psychological issues that haunt the hero. Does he even want to be the hero, or is it just a responsibility that has been pushed on him?

The official website of the updated IMAX film, Evangelion: 3.333 You Can (Not) Redo, has announced that the screening of the movie has been delayed.

It is temporarily postponed because the content sent to the theatres had audio issues.

The film was initially set for release today (8th January). The revised premiere date will be announced once studio Khara has a better grasp on the situation.

While merging the audio and video parts were going on in the theatre, the authorities realized that the audio part had gone missing in the final product.

Evangelion 3.333 is a full 2K version of Evangelion 3.0. The film has various small changes along with the lightning and coloring in some scenes. Some plugsuits like that of Asuka and Mari have some alterations in designs and colors as well.

However, the staff have not said anything about the inclusion of original scenes or deleted scenes that have been restored. Fans are looking forward to the amped-up version of the film nonetheless.

Evangelion: 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon A Time is the fourth and final installation in the Rebuild of Evangelion tetralogy. The film was initially set for release in June 2020.

However, the pandemic caused the premiere date to be postponed to 23rd January 2021.
