Chapter 134 of Attack on Titan was recently released, and the destruction unleashed by the titans is brutal, to say the least. Countries after countries are trapped in the devastation, and no one is safe.

Hajime Isayama, the author of Attack on Titan, reported that the manga is only 1-2% away from completion. This means that very few chapters are left before we face the manga’s finale.

Isayama talked about the manga’s status in the statue unveiling event at his home town, Oyamamachi. He also said that he has been arranging the ending like a game of shogi.

Last year in December, the creator of Attack on Titan stated that he intends to end the manga this year, i.e., in 2020. When we look at the manga’s latest chapter, the approaching ending seems very clear.

Bessatsu Shonen magazine’s December issue revealed that it is starting seven new projects soon. A full-colored serialization of Attack on Titan is also on the list. The date of the serialization’s debut is not confirmed yet.

Chapter 134 shows the zeppelins trying to hinder the titans with all they’ve got but barely having any effect. The Paradisian-Marleyan alliance engages Eren and Zeke.

The fate of Eren is still unsure. However, a tragic ending is much more expected than an attempt at redemption.
