Asta x Noelle: Cute Black Clover Artwork by Director, & We Ship It!

The Coronavirus pandemic has resulted in several delays of manga and anime. In this situation, publishing companies and authors are trying their best to keep fans engaged.

And they are doing so by revealing bits and pieces of the unknown sides of anime characters.

In his recent Twitter post, Tatsuya Yoshihara (director of Black Clover anime) shared an artwork depicting child versions of Asta and Noelle from the famous anime/manga series Black Clover. Fans are excited over this new take on their favorite characters.

The cutesy artwork portrays small Asta and Noelle running hand in hand. It gives a peek of a world where Asta and Noelle might have met as children and become friends. Since this is also a major ship (romantic pairing of characters), it has caused quite a stir amongst the fans who support the duo.

The fact that Noelle already likes Asta and is simply stopping herself from accepting these feelings also adds fuel to the fire. This artwork might also be a possible hint to further development in the plot of Black Clover.

Noelle and Asta have grown up in different places, conditions, and mindset. Noelle is more guarded and seems arrogant at first, but soon she warms up to the kindness of Asta.

However, she is still not ready to fully accept her own feelings. Maybe if they had grown up together as is shown in the artwork, they would have been closer and more sensitive to each other’s feelings.

Black Clover anime is currently on an indefinite hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic. The episode 133 could not be aired, and previous episode reruns are being broadcast until the situation improves.
