Asobi Asobase Will Be Coming To Netflix This Quarantine Season

Based on the manga by Rin Suzukawa, Asobi Asobase focuses on a group of three surreal girls. Looking at its cover, you might think that it is another anime about cute little girls and I cannot blame you for that.

The franchise did a good job with their deceiving promos and advertisements because as soon as the first episode started, fans knew something was off with this anime in a weirdly different way.

Middle school girls can be dumb, broke, and sensitive, but this bunch is right on top of that scale. Nonetheless, this anime is a light comedy show given you can handle the weirdness.

Asobi Asobase is coming to Netflix on 2nd May.

Asobi Asobase - Anime Epic Trailer (2018)

It’s one of those shows which you either love or hate. It doesn’t offer a deep storyline or characters you’d want to draw with your amazing sketching skills and show off on social media, but it does offer a different view on life.

In case you are already a fan of this weirdly fun show — I have prepared a list for you below!

I myself am not a fan of melodrama comedy, so I can’t recommend this to you wholeheartedly. However, if you enjoy blue humor and devil-like distorted drawings, then give this a try.

About Asobi Asobase

Asobi Asobase is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Rin Suzukawa. It began serialization on Hakusensha’s Young Animal Densi website in June 2015.

An anime television series adaptation by Lerche aired in Japan from July to September 2018.

The series centres on three middle school girls, Hanako, Olivia and Kasumi, who form their own non-official group called the Pastimers Club.

These girls have a weird set of games as their favourite pastimes. One of them is always losing in games, but another one always wins, except for her elder sister. The third one is of American descent and pretends not to know Japanese well.
