ARP Backstage Pass Announces Episode 11, July 13 premiere

The ARP group, short for Artists Republic Production, held live performances featuring singing, dancing, and interactive talking with the audience in real-time using the latest augmented reality technology.

A unique feature was that the show modifies its compositions according to the audience.

ARP Backstage Pass had gotten delayed from its initial 2019 premiere and started broadcasting from January 13, 2020. After completing ten episodes, the anime ended on March 30 2020.

The official website and Twitter account for ARP Backstage Pass announced on July 6 that a special 11th episode titled “Paradise” will be streamed in Japan at d Anime Store dTV from 23:00 on July 13 and other distribution platforms from July 20.

Following episode 10, the special episode “Paradise” will be pre-delivered on d anime store dTV from 23:00 on July 13th!

On other distribution sites, it will be distributed sequentially from 23:00 on Monday, July 20th.

Tetsuya Endo directed the anime at Studio Dynamo Pictures animation production. The group members included their leader Shinji, dancer León, and designer Daiya with composer/writer Rage.

ARP group performed both the opening and the closing themes which were titled “Burn it up” and “Celebrate Good Time”. Artists Republic Production mainly held concerts under the talent contract it had with Avex.

Although a unique concept, the show was unable to generate a decent fan base and did not become popular.

This special episode bundled with the AR concept and audience response based changes in the show’s compositions will surely bring a change of pace to viewers stuck at home during the pandemic.
