According to the official synopsis, the series follows “a band of exiles who discover that the only way to save the Galactic Empire from destruction is to defy it.”

As per IMDb, the series will follow a large group of humans scattered all over the universe and rules by the Galactic Empire. As the Empire is on the verge of total destruction a group of exiles will take it upon themselves to re-start civilization.

The Apple Original will have 10 episodes and stars Jared Harris and Lee Pace. But you may expect more seasons since Apple has ordered 24 episodes for the series from David S. Goyer, Josh Friedman and Skydance Television. It will be filmed in Ireland’s Troy Studios in Limerick.

Apple TV Plus maybe only six months old but its The Morning Show has won early praises. Meanwhile, the platform is still searching for its big win and Foundation could be a promising production.

The show was announced by Apple in 2018 but its production was forced to pause earlier this year because of COVID-19 restrictions.

Meanwhile, the pioneering tech company has also acquired Tom Hanks starrer upcoming naval war drama, Greyhound. Apple also acquired Fraggle Rock’s entire back catalog ahead of the show’s official reboot on Apple TV Plus, marking their first acquiring of licensed content.

It’s clear that Apple is dedicated to upping its streaming game considering Apple TV Plus is still a big component in Apple’s overall services economy. The streaming service exists alongside other subscription services, including Apple Music and Apple Arcade.

Apple TV Plus is currently available for a subscription of $4.99 a month, but any purchase of a new or refurbished Apple product gives a customer a free year of the streaming service.
