Ah! My Goddess Season 3: Release Info, Rumors, Updates

Ah! My Goddess or Oh My Goddess! is one of the most loved supernatural rom-coms out there. The series that begun in 2005, concluded after releasing 3 OVAs in 2011. However, even after a decade, the fandom hasn’t faltered, and fans still anticipate more anime content in the form of Season 3.

Ah! My Goddess revolves around Keiichi Morisato, a lonely sophomore college student. After getting rejected by the most popular girl in college, Keiichi accidentally dials the Goddess helpline number hence summoning Goddess Belldandy. She asks him to wish for anything he wants, and in a spur of the moment, Keiichi asks the heavenly lady to stay with him forever.

The wish couldn’t be undone, and now Keiichi and Belldandy must face several awkward situations before they finally become close as lovers.

If you’re a sucker for pretty anime women and love fighting over “best waifu”, then Ah! My Goddess should be your next watch!

1. Release Date

Ah! My Goddess Season 3 has not been announced as of now. The anime ended back in 2011 and hasn’t returned since. If the series does return, it should return sometime in 2023.

At the time of Season 2’s release, the original manga was still ongoing, and hence the producers had to wait for more material for creating another season. However, now that the manga is complete, we should receive updates on Season 3 soon. Maybe it’s too late for a third season now, and the only way to revive the anime is a remake.

2. What To Expect From Season 3

Season 2 of Ah! My Goddess ended at volume 31, chapter 195. Season 3 would resume the story from chapter 196 onwards. There are 48 volumes in total, and there isn’t enough material to make a 24-episode season; thus, Season 3 might get only 11 or 12 episodes.

In Season 2, Belldandy and Keiichi are reunited but face another threat. Fortunately, everything gets resolved, and the finale ends when Keiichi becomes vocal about his love for the Goddess. The ‘doki-doki’ elements explode as the audience craves for another season.

Season 3 would be the final season where we would see more lovey-dovey moments between our favorite couple, which might lead to something more permanent and long-term, perhaps a marriage.
