Aggressive Retsuko is one of the famous characters which belongs to the mascot company, Sanrio. Other famous mascots from Sanrio include Hello Kitty, Keroppi, Chococat and My Melody.
Aggressive Retsuko was first featured in one-minute shorts by Fireworks studio. The character had received a 100 short episodes, before getting adapted into a Netflix original anime series.
A tweet by Netflix on July 21 announced that season 3 of Aggretsuko will be released on August 27.

The 100 one-minute shorts of Aggressive Retsuko was written and directed by Rarecho and aired on TBS Television from 2016-2018. These short episodes were later compiled into DVDs by Pony Canyon.
Netflix announced the return of Aggressive Retsuko anime as a Netflix original. Rarecho is still in charge of writing and directing, and it is produced by studio Fireworks once again. The series has already released two seasons on Netflix.
Season 1 of Aggretsuko was released in April 2018, and season 2 was released in June 2014. A Christmas special of the anime was also released on December 20, 2018.
Retsuko is a kawaii red panda character. At first glance, the anime might seem quite childish, but it is not so. Retsuko is a 25-year-old office lady, and she faces problems that every real-life office-goer faces.
From disillusionment and loneliness to worries for the future, this cute character portrays them all.
In the last episode (Wonderful Life) of Aggretsuko, Retsuko’s relationship with Tadano, the CEO of a tech company, comes to light, and she realizes the difference between her life and Tadano’s.
About Aggretsuko
The series revolves around Retsuko, an anthropomorphic red panda’s day-to-day life as an accountant at a Japanese trading firm. Dealing with everything from sexist superiors to obnoxious co-workers, Retsuko vents her emotions through death metal at the local karaoke bar she frequents.
After five years of being a corporate slave, she forms an unlikely friendship with the CEO’s secretary and the company marketing director. Will this be the break she needs to finally better her work life?
