A-Force coming to MCU! – Epic Dope

A-Force movie in development includes Captain Marvel and female Thor. Marvel seems to be pushing female leads harder than ever before in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The success of Captain Marvel, the franchise’s first female-lead movie, has led to She-Hulk, WandaVision, Ms. Marvel and a few other stand-alone female characters getting films or Disney+ shows.

Sources say that an A-force movie is in development. Kevin Feige is planning an all-female team-up, based on the group who appeared in comics in 2015 for the first time.

The most probable line-up will include Valkyrie, Jane Foster’s Thor, Captain Marvel, and She-Hulk. She-Hulk is the leader of A-Force, and this indicates that the She-Hulk Disney+ series will be the first step towards the formation of the team.  The trend of getting more and more female directors is rising. Anna Boden became the first female director of the MCU with Captain Marvel, Cate Shortland will be directing Black Widow and Chloe Zhao directing The Eternals.

The idea and talks of an all female-superhero movie rose up after a scene in the Avengers: Endgame. A behind-the-scenes clip too was released, comprising only females from the MCU. The actresses termed it as the Marvel sisterhood.

We then got the news that Tessa Thompson and a bunch of other actresses had expressed the idea to Feige on set. Given the popularity of the MCU and the increasing influence of female in the MCU movie, there is a probability that the project has already been green-lit.

Well, the news and rumors are all good, but still, the project may take lots of time. Marvel and Disney are already going on with many projects. The Fox-Disney Merger also increased the workload of Marvel and the expectation of Fans. Therefore, we may have to until 2023 before we can see an A-force movie.
