The ones in power won’t last forever, and the structure of One Piece will be very different from what it was at the beginning.
Eras end and time changes everything. God D. Roger was the Pirate King who oversaw the seas. Similarly, a new Pirate King will emerge soon.
After the war at Marineford, Whitebeard’s death spelled the end of an era, and a new Yonko, Blackbeard, came into power. Currently in the manga, another momentous event is taking place that may also result in the fall of a Yonko.
The previous superpowers are now fading away to make a place for the new generation, and our protagonist, Luffy, is the one who’s in the lead.
Considering that it may still be quite a few years before the series concludes, who will reign supreme in the end? Without further ado, let’s take a look at the strongest characters by the end of One Piece.
Koby is the first person Luffy befriended, and just because of that reason, he will have an important role to play in the series.
After being encouraged by Luffy, he joined the navy and climbed his way up to become a Marine Captain. Under Garp’s mentorship, he has already improved immensely and will continue to do so.
By the end of the series, Koby will become to Luffy what Garp was to the Pirate King. While he won’t be as powerful as the Straw Hat Captain, he will still enter the ranks of the strongest characters.
Unfortunately, there’s still some time before we see Koby fulfill his dream and become an Admiral.
Smoker is one of the few Marines who has ever beaten Luffy, and he has now climbed to the position of a Vice-Admiral.
He has always been far stronger than his peers and could defeat Vergo – one of the strongest members of the Donquixote Pirates, with ease.
After the time skip, he could hold his own against Law and even withstand attacks from a Shichibukai – Boa Hancock. Thinking about it, if not for Dragon’s interference, Luffy would have already been captured by Smoker once.
Despite already climbing to the 3rd highest rank, Smoker will continue to grow powerful and might become the Fleet Admiral by the end of One Piece.
13. Vinsmoke Sanji
While Sanji takes on a cook’s role within the Straw Hats, he is not one to be underestimated. He is a part of the “monster trio,” making him one of the crew’s strongest members.
After the Whole Cake arc, his strength has already increased, and his abilities will be further refined in Wano.
By the end of One Piece, Luffy will achieve his goal of becoming the Pirate King, and as his left hand, Sanji will grow powerful enough to clash against and defeat a Navy Admiral.
12. Roronoa Zoro
As the vice-captain of Straw Hats, Zoro is Luffy’s right-hand man and a part of the “Worst Generation.”
With the Wano arc going on, Zoro is definitely going to receive power-ups in this land of the Samurai. He has already received a splendid weapon, which will play an essential role in defeating Kaido.
By the end of One Piece, Zoro will surpass Mihawk to become the world’s strongest swordsman, while his captain gets titled the Pirate King.
Due to this, Zoro will undoubtedly become one of the most powerful characters in the series, and similar to Sanji will be at least Admiral level.
Akainu has always been ambitious, and he has the strength to follow through with his goals. As an Admiral, he was already powerful when we first saw him.
Akainu played a vital role in the Paramount War and succeeded in killing Ace and injuring Whitebeard. However, this was not the end.
After fighting a ten-day battle with former Admiral Aokiji, Akainu won and took over as the Fleet Admiral – the Marines’ highest-ranking position.
Under his leadership, things have gotten more aggressive, and he is bound to clash with Luffy during the Final War. While he is already powerful enough, Akainu will be one of the strongest characters at the end of the series.
10. Big Mom
Big Mom is one of the Four Emperors and a fearsome enemy of Luffy. Her devil fruit, Soru Soru no Mi, allows her to take the lifespan of anything she wishes and transfer it to any living or dead thing.
After teaming up with Kaido, Big Mom’s influence has skyrocketed, and she’ll definitely not be making the Straw Hat’s lives easier.
If alive, she will still be a fearsome opponent by the end of One Piece, thus ranking her on this list. She is placed a bit lower than others because her strength, while great, will diminish while new powers emerge.
Being a Yonko is already enough, but Kaido has an even more fearsome identity. He is the strongest creature in the world, and it is said that no one stands a chance against him in a one-on-one fight.
Luffy has teamed up with a significant number of influential people just to stand a chance to take him down.
Kaido has currently teamed up with Big Mom and basing it on the fact that he remains alive by the end of One Piece, he is ranked 9th on this list. Like the previous entry, he is not ranked higher because of the likely emergence of new powers.
8. Eustass Kid
Kid has often been compared to Luffy, as they are both members of the Worst Generation and aim to become the Pirate King.
Under his leadership, his crew is one of the most wanted, and their bounties are incredibly high. Furthermore, Kid is one of the very few people who faced a Yonko (Kaido) and survived.
After meeting Luffy at the prison, despite being cuffed with Seastone, Kid could keep up with his speed and power. He has currently joined Luffy in taking down Kaido, and it is very likely that his strength and fame will only grow stronger.
By the end of One Piece, while he will not become the Pirate King, he will be feared as one of the Yonko’s.
7. Trafalgar D. Water Law
Despite his humble beginnings, Law has now become one of the most feared pirates. After the time skip, he easily defeated Vergo, and even a Marine Vice Admiral, Smoker, without suffering grave injuries.
Furthermore, Law became a Shichibukai but was removed from it after allying with Luffy.
He initiated the entire war against Kaido, and he will definitely have a part in its conclusion.
Furthermore, since he has “D” in his name, Law will be a crucial player in the series. By the end of One Piece, like Kid, Law will become one of the four emperors of the sea.
Sabo is one of the few characters with infinite potential to grow. He is the Chief of Staff of the Revolutionary Army, aka Dragon’s own right-hand man, and has significant influence in the world.
His power is already enough to take on Admirals, despite just gaining the Mera Mera no Mi.
His Dragon Claw, Armament Haki, and Devil Fruit powers are like giving a tiger wings, thus making Sabo’s progress nearly impossible to stop.
By the end of One Piece, he will be somewhat similar to Luffy in strength and will have (hopefully) surpassed Dragon.
Red-Haired Shanks is the youngest Yonko in One Piece, and presumably, the strongest. As a former member of the Roger Pirates, he is one of the few people to have conquered the Grand Line.
There is much we do not know about Shanks, such as the nature of his connection to the five elders of the World Government.
While he may be shrouded in mystery, we know enough to conclude that he is one of the most influential and powerful characters in the series. After all, the man who our Main character looks up to cannot be weak.
By the end of One Piece, Shanks will hold onto his position as one of the strongest and will be there to receive his straw hat back from Luffy.
4. Monkey D. Dragon
Monkey D. Dragon is the leader of the Revolutionary Army, the “World’s Worst Criminal,” a “D,” and Luffy’s father. These identities, each more terrifying than the other, are enough to justify his rank.
While he was introduced to us very late in the story, excluding his initial appearance, his strength has been proven to be phenomenal.
As one of the most influential figures in the series, he will be a central figure in the Final War. By the end of One Piece, he will undoubtedly be even more powerful than a Yonko.
Im is one of the most mysterious characters in One Piece, and we know next to nothing about them. This individual is the highest sovereignty within the World Government and is the current holder of the Empty Throne.
While the full scope of Im’s abilities are unknown, the fact that the Five Elders, who are considered to be the highest authorities of the World Government, bow before them, is enough to get a grasp of their powers.
Furthermore, if the saber by Im’s side is any indicator, it won’t be surprising if they surpass even Blackbeard on this list by the end of One Piece.
Better known as Blackbeard, this “Worst Generation” member is the only person so far in the One Piece world to wield two devil fruits — Gura Gura no Mi and Yami Yami no Mi.
Despite his recent debut, he has already become one of the Four Emperors of the Sea and wields magnificent power.
He is undoubtedly the main antagonist of One Piece and will play a crucial part in the final war. With the power to create black holes with one hand and to destroy the world with the other, Blackbeard deserves the 2nd position on this list.
1. Monkey D. Luffy
Luffy has lofty goals, but he also has the determination and strength to fulfill them. From the beginning to now, he has grown tremendously and will continue to do so.
Despite witnessing his brother’s death and facing powerful opponents such as Big Mom and Kaido, Luffy has always come out on top.
Monkey D. Luffy will become the strongest character by the end of One Piece and fulfill his goal of becoming the Pirate King. In doing so, he will surpass Gold D. Roger and the ones before him to usher in an entirely new era.Originally Written By Epic Dope
